The Actual Proof is a funkadelic jazz/fusion 7 piece based in Boston, Massachusetts. Players hail from a wide range of regions, spanning Los Angeles to Vegas, Philadelphia to Connecticut, and all the way to Boston, each bringing their own influence to the songwriting and jamming process. Perhaps more important is the band's shared love of being a crowd's inspiration to let go and DANCE, a sentiment that never escapes their collective consciousness.
"The first time I saw an entire basement of random people grooving to our stuff, I was absolutely addicted. I've been playing for most of my life but I've never seen anything happen like this," says Chuck Jones, TAP's bass player and resident Ambassador of Funk. "They enjoy our boogie."
Core members recently had the opportunity to perform as the band for Stanton Moore (drummer extraordinaire of the renowned jamband Galactic) during one of his visits to Boston, and the keys player, Eli Winderman, has opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Israel Vibration. Armed with these experiences and a burning desire to make a crowd get down, The Actual Proof is ready to make the country sweat.
