About me:
There is a change on the horizon... and for all that keep an eye on new alternative energy technologies, a bright new hope for the future! I believe the market for energy will now be moving towards personal electric power... sources. ........................................................................................................................................
This design (Phase 1) is capable of about 250kW in a 35mph wind from a 72 foot tall machine... this is about $1.20/Watt which compares to large wind (the turbines installed on large wind-farms) costs. An expanded unit will deliver about 500kW in a 35mph wind at a cost factor lower per kW than large wind machines! A design is being developed (Phase 2-a 10x's larger in diameter) that will have an end user cost between $.25 cents/Watt & $.40 cents/Watt! Right now the most cost effective TRADITIONAL turbines are around $1.20/W and home-use TRADITIONAL turbines are between $5 to $10 DOLLARS /Watt. ........................................................................................................................................
For home use, a 24ft or 60ft (in a low #2 zone) tall Phase 1 machine can be installed and yield an amount of electricity that can not only power the home but heat & cool the home as well! This is an incredible amount of power compared to traditional turbines currently available. With current technology (traditional turbines) on the market, a $50K final cost windmill will yield about $50 worth of electricity per month and take more than 3 decades to pay for itself in Wisconsin & many parts of the eastern US because of low wind speeds in these areas.

Imagine a world where you do not only judge a home on whether it has a new roof or new countertops; square footage of garage space... but how big the wind driven power plant is! ........................................................................................................................................
Electricity for your heat, to power your home, air-conditioning, to power a small business in the 'shop' out back... and for your electric car, electric pick-up truck & electrci SUV (the only thing holding it back is a new battery technology)! I believe this wind power technology will cause a rift in the small & medium (home, farm & business) wind markets; and these machines are the ones that will one day power homes like above! ........................................................................................................................................
Right now we think of power plants as those massive coal & nuclear plants near home-town USA. Trust me when I tell you, these will be moving to the home. To be able to own & operate a home-based wind-power machine that can power a families energy needs for the home & vehicle will take to the market like fire to newspaper. ........................................................................................................................................
Think about how much the average family spends each year for gasoline, heat, electric... often $10,000 per year or more. Then think about being able to have a home-based business that doesn't cost anything to electrically power it or heat it... a wind power system that provides all this power... from the wind! A wind power machine that can pay for itself in 4 to 8 years (bigger pays for itself sooner if electricity consumed by owner) instead of 25 to 40+ years from traditional turbines currently available in the Small and Medium wind market. ........................................................................................................................................
Phase 1 is a modular system in 12' segments. Stack 12 'boxes' on top of each other for large business or 2 'boxes' for just electric for home. There is a future design that will be able to power thousands of homes (the big wind-farm turbines can power about 150 in Wisconsin- #2 is low winds) for as much as 95% less cost than current technology (manufactured costs). ........................................................................................................................................
Why do we need a new technology? From the info I gathered on a Frontline program, one coal-fire plant will produce 1,300,000 kilowatt hours (kwh's) in one hour. In the BEST CONDITIONS a 1.5Mw traditional wind turbine (common for wind-farms) will produce about 420kwh's per hour average. To equal 1 coal plant of electricity, 3,095 of these 1.5Mw traditional turbines (divide 1,300,000 by 420) would need to be installed. They cost $2,000,000 each (with installation and permits). The cost of the 3,095 (1.5Mw) turbines would be over 6 billion (6,190,000,000). The show stated there are over 600 of these plants across the country... and these coal plants only provide 52% of the country's electricity. ........................................................................................................................................
WE NEED A BETTER, MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more cost effective wind technology.... and this company is NOW MARKETING RESIDENTIAL UNITS!!!
