About me:

VISIT US AT OUR WEB SITE - www.thehistoricadmiraltheater.com THE LISTENING ROOM RETURNS, JUNE 20TH
The Listening Room comes back with a vengence with brand new elements added; sure to please anyone with taste. And what a tasty creative buffet it will be. This time, we introduce a spoken word artist AND 4 painters on the 4 corners of the stage. After each round and spoken word segment; the artists will go to the next canvass to add their special touch to their fellow artists painting. At the end of the evening; all 4 canvasses will fit together to form one amazing piece which will then be auctioned off during a silent bid. Watch for July's line up soon! : Musicians:

Tickets are $12.00 through Brown Paper Tickets and several West Seattle restaurants are offering a $2.00 discount off ticket prize when audience members bring their dinner receipt from their meal that night with them. This is only good for tickets bought at the theater - not through Brown Paper Tickets.

Tickets are pre-sold through Brown Paper Tickets:

..
WHAT IS THE LISTENING ROOM SERIES?

“Shhhh….. music is being seriously heard! The Admiral Theater’s Listening Room combines a number of elements which added together create a warm and enriching experience for the entertainer AND their audience.

Our stage, dressed in a “homey” stage setting, pared down but “warmed up” with the kind of sound that allows music not only to be heard but “felt” by an audience.

No noisy glasses clinking, no blenders or bartenders barking- just the intimate sound of the artist interpreting their music in a pure acoustic setting with stunning results.

Our artists take the stage together and perform in the round, peeling away the trappings of their music to reveal the essence at its core- resulting in a hallmark of personal, and exclusive concert performances.

The Admiral’s listening room is a place where artists can discuss origins of their songs, both literally and emotionally, giving the listener true insight into the craft of song-writing.

COMEDY RULES THIS SUMMER AT THE ADMIRAL!

We're bringing you two wonderful improv troupes, Unexpected Productions', Theatersports and Jet City Improv's, Twisted Flicks.

    Theatersports

Unexpected Productions has been performing comedy improv in Seattle since 1983, and is dedicated to promoting the art and spirit of improvisation. Their show, Theatresports is Seattle’s longest running show, turning 25 years -old on last year. Theatresports is comedy, improv, theatre, and sports all rolled into one! Teams of improvisers create scenes based entirely on audience suggestions and are scored by a panel of judges or the audience themselves. The dates for those shows are; June 27, July 18 and August 15. To purchase tickets for these shows go to: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/68833.

    Twisted Flicks

Jet City Improv’s Twisted Flicks is a movie experience like no other. Director, Mike Christensen calls it “fun old movies with a funny new twist.” The troupes takes a classic, cheesy "B" movie shown without its original soundtrack. All dialog, sound effects and music are improvised live by their team of players, based on suggestions from that night's audience. Each night, the picture may be the same, but the movie is completely different. The show is fast-paced, funny and suitable for all ages. Next up is THE PHANTOM PLANET on July 24th followed by the Castle of Fu Man Chu on August 21st.
