IS THIS MUSIC? –
Sharp. Musically and lyrically, that is. 'Friends Pretend' is a short burst of talented vocals and competent guitar!!! You’ll be singing the title line "things get so much better when there isn't any pressure" for hours 4/5.
MUSIC MART MAGAZINE –
Fuelled by the twin guitars of front man Alan Kemlo and six string ace Colin McLaughlin their explosive live shows are creating an extraordinary buzz around Glasgow. A rock solid rhythm section - in the shape of drummer Matty Roberts and bass ace David Murphy - hasn't done them any harm either. The band kicked off 2007 by selling out King Tuts and the management team that steered Snow Patrol and Futureheads to success has since snapped them up. Now there's talk of major labels circling, drawn by cracking songs like ' Mess ' or ' Maybe Tonight ', which sound like this feisty four-piece have kidnapped The Buzzcocks' kitchen sink dramas and forcibly conjoined them with the raucous ladishness of the Small Faces. Gonnabes? Huge!
