About me:
"Bob Marley had this idea. Kind of a virologist idea. He believed that you can cure racism and hate; literally cure it, by injecting music and love into people's lives. When he was scheduled to preform at a peace rally, a gun man came to his house and shot him down.
Two days later he walked out on that stage and sang. Somebody asked him, 'Why?' He said, 'The people who are trying to make the world worse are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness.'"
- Robert Neville, 'I Am Legend'
"My life is like piano chords in succession - beautiful, melodious, complimentary, ascending, powerful, moving and glorious all in one."
Hi. I'm an awesome person. I like video games, music, photography, art and learning. Inside secret: Sometimes, in my free time, I study the meaning of particular words and their origins. (The actual practice is called Etymology. I know. It's nerdy.) I also read Shakespeare and sing jazz. Sometimes. In the shower. (Singing, not reading. Though that would be interesting.)
I'm a new mother. I just had my beautiful daughter in December 09. She's amazing and I love her more than everything on this Earth put together. I'm currently raising her with the help of my family. Her biological father decided to be a jackass and skip out (moved across the country actually) so he's out of the picture (and he's trying to evade child support too - let's all wish him luck with that), but honestly I couldn't be happier about it. He would be a terrible, abusive and inattentive father. In any case, my baby girl is my new life now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Being pregnant and giving birth was the most amazing experience of my life. :) I can't express how much I love and cherish my daughter, and I always will. ♥
I'm pretty much a social casualty but I'm comfortable that way. My life is quiet and somewhat peaceful, which is good for my sanity as well as keeping me centered.
I have a circle of very close friends that's small but hearty. Jessee, Sheep, Josh, Scott and Matt are my near-and-dear amigos and I luffles them all.
I have one cat that I adore, one cat that hates everything that moves (including the hand that feeds her), and a retarded hamster that bites his cage bars and runs on his wheel for 7 hours every night. We're a weird family, like most families in America; except we're not dysfunctional or broken. ♥
There's not much to me. I'm a pretty simple gal. I enjoy singing though I rarely do it in public anymore just because I gained a sense of what normal people call "public embarrassment". The thing is - I gained that at about age 22 whereas most learn not to do silly things (like belting out "I Will Survive" in the grocery store) at age six. I'm 25. I used to sing opera, now I just sing in the shower. I'm my best audience. *rock on symbol*
I live in Wisconsin, which is like the most boring one out of 50 states my parents could've possibly chosen to have spawn in. I love my family very much though, and we get along like best friends. It's pretty magical. They accept that I'm a complete dweeb and I accept that they're my parents and therefor fabulous. It's hereditary.
So. That's Myspace for ya.
Likes: being asked to sing, thunderstorms, driving around late at night with no where to go, Halloween (favorite holiday), the feeling after a nice warm shower, taking pictures of stuff, the sound of rain, concerts, swimming, sitting in the Barnes and Noble cafe and having coffee while reading or talking, traveling all over the world, letting go of the bad shit, wind in my hair, laughing so hard my sides hurt, cartoons, edgy humor, camping, Eddie Izzard, Gabriel Iglesias, "gothic" stuff (I am NOT goth), dancing, being triumphant
Dislikes: drugs, liars, sports games, being 'fat', forgetting things, idiots, spilling stuff on my favorite shirt, dwelling, cocky bastards, dreaming, arrogant children, drunks, cigarette smoke, judgmental folks, mosquitoes, being itchy, obnoxiousness, cheaters, when my camera batteries die, people that play head games
