Iron & Wine, Wilco, John Denver (not kidding), and if I could ever achieve the greatness that is Joanna Newsom I could die happy. Folky things with a modern slant tend to be where my interests lie.

"I cut my teeth on the music scene in Akron where I went to college, and I think the music I ended up making was just the antithesis of what I heard" says Ohio native Joshua Dennison of The Aeronautical Legends.
He continues, "There were The Black Keys and, like, one other band that was decent... but I really had a big reaction against most of what was happening." And so, the low-key style of The Aeronautical Legends was born. Sparse four-track efforts soon blossomed into two full length albums, with a third just released.
"The Pathologist" by The Aeronautical Legends finds songwriter Dennison in new territory. Under the gun to create for the 2009 RPM Challenge, he also wanted to make it an ambitious concept record about a lonely pathologist's struggle with relationships outside of her sterile scientific confines.
The result was a record far from the warmth of 2007's "A Midwestern Autumn." Gone are the seasoned acoustic drums and hushed acoustic guitars, replaced respectively by overdriven drum machines and biting synthesizers laying the backdrop for the tear drenched lyrics.
A result of twenty-eight insane days of feverish writing and recording, "The Pathologist" will reward you with each listen. Fans of the album format and crafty melody will surely enjoy this record.
aaaw thank you man :Dur kind words make me feel warm inside :) hehe wat "exactly" do u want to know.. well i made it in milkytracker :P thats one thing
so how do you rock so hard at life, music, and lab teching? like how do you keep a straight face when a lady with 8 personalities looks you in the eyes and says 'here look, i helped you out by organizing your work' and really means 'hey josh. i just cycloned all over this table and destroyed an hr of your time'?
I ask that you download this song for Carrie and the bambino. It has Portishead-like synths coupled with Massive Attack creepiness and a little sexy thrown in for the fun of it - The song is "Vide" by Autour De Lucie from Faux Movement (my current obsession - besides The A.L.'.s) ...hope you know French.
So I was listening to your newest CD (a gracious gift) and latter found myself inspire to find add. new tuneage and came across this band/song that has your same sound and style. It's kinda scary... I was playing one of your songs along with my new discovery and it was like deja vu - they're obviously ripping off of you! I would sue, maybe buy a house in Twinsburg..I dunno.
