The Affiliates are a four-piece alternative rock group with classical 70s influences given with a contemporary twist. We formed in late 2007 and have since released an EP, 'Life Of Riley/Life Of Crime', in the early Summer of 2008, playing a handful of gigs in the local area soon afterwards to promote ourselves.
As of 2009 we have been keeping ourselves active, recording the double A-side 'Just A Friend' and 'Less Of A Man' in February and since then have been working on some more new material and have returned to performing in public.
Just letting everyone know we are playing in the TAY FM Battle Of The Bands this Sunday at Chambers Bar! This is the first heat and progression is only available through public vote! So we urge you to come along and drop a big, fat 14 into the Ballot Box! (Metaphorically of course! Its not a euphionism for poo!)
