About me: African Well Fund is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to raising funds for building and maintaining wells in Africa. AWF was founded in October 2002 by a group of U2 fans inspired by Bono's activism on behalf of Africa. Struck by the relatively low cost of building a well and the enormous difference that a well can make in the life of a village, we were convinced that raising the money to build a well was an easily achievable goal. It was from this conviction that the African Well Fund (AWF) was born.
Since our inception AWF has raised over $500,000 to fund clean water and sanitation projects in Angola, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Mali, Malawi, Niger, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Change for Change is a high school senior project created by Matt Traugh and Liz Ryan. The objective of this senior project is to inform our community about gobal poverty and reach a minimum off 1000 dollars in donations to support this worthy cause.
100% of the money donated will than be given to the World Vision Organization where the donation percentage will be matched by corporate sponcors and can be multiplied up to ten-fold.
Currently more than one billion people live below the international poverty line, earning less than one dollar a day. "Approximately 790 million people in the developing world are still chronically undernourished, almost two-thirds of whom reside in Asia and the Pacific." In fact, 11 million children die each year before they reach the age of five due to poverty. It is because of this that we find educating others and finding ways of helping so dire.
We have already scheduled several events where 100% of the profits will be given to Change for Change. Our most current of these events is the Change for Change Benefit Concert, which will have such bands as The Fabulous Rudies, and Grim Luck performing!
We are looking into this as our CDs and promo materials had our MYSPACE address on them.
We are still working with eNdo clothing with WHY merch that will raise money for THE AFRICAN WELL FUND(which will continue to be sold at WHY shows in stores locally and online soon).

A WHILE BACK I WAS WHATCHING TV AND THEN A COMMERCIAL FOR SOME WATER PURIFIER COMPANY CAME ON AND AT THE END THEY INFORMED US THAT TYHEY HAVE CREATED A POWDER THAT CAN PURIFY THE WATER IN AFRICA WITH THIS POWDER AND IT SAID FOR EVERY GALLON OF THEIR WATERE YOU BUY THEYLL SEND TO AFRICA ONE PACK OF THE POWDER UMM NO SIR IF YOU HAVE A POWDER THAT CAN MAKE THE WATER DRINKABLE YOU NEED TO BE SENDING IT LIKE ITS GUNS TO IRAQ AND THEY SHOULD CUT OFF THE SUPPLY OF GUNS TO IRAQ CUASE WE STARTED AND UNNESSARY WAR THATS KIILLING ALOT OF INNOCENT SOULS
