About me:
A cosy little venue just on the Northcote / Thornbury border in Melbourne, The Afterdark Bar / Gallery opened in February '06 and has worked its way into the Melbourne music scene with magnificent poise and grace.
By building a strong reputation as a great venue to see everything from singer / songwriters, electro & experimental acts, pop, rock, punk and anything else we can get our grubby hands on, it seems that diversity is the driving force behind the success of this bar.
Other regular events include our fortnightly art exhibitions(http://artabase.net/listings/galleries/alphabetical), hit the switch nights(indie, punk), cut up(video art and short films), sabbatical records(noise and sound art), below the surface (indie) and our rock 'n' roll trivia night.
We keep our calendar below up to date, but if you do have any questions about our going ons then just send us a message.
OPENING HOURS -
SUN, MON, TUES, WED - CLOSED - available for private functions
THURSDAY - 6PM TILL LATE
FRIDAY - 6PM TILL 3AM
SATURDAY - 6PM TILL 3AM
We also operate an independent music store from the old bar (thats right! a licensed record store, dreams can come true) where bands can stock their releases. If you would like to find out more, or you would like us to stock something of yours just hit the link below -
