In 1997, Lofty formed The Afterglow which was to be a tribute to the Mod scene and in particular The Jam, with the name coming from the superb Small Faces song.
Nothing wrong with Mod music, but our repertoire has changed since we first started and now encompasses the mod/punk and new wave classics from this astounding era of music. We also have a few contemporary songs from the ..80s, ’90s and even the ’00s that we occasionally play.
One thing for sure though, is the songs that we play are the songs that mean something special to each of us and we know will evoke memories of the past for anyone watching & listening.
