" Formerly known as No Problemos, The Airport Scene was born in August 2005 after recruiting drummer, Gav Sillars earlier in the year. No Problemos had many a line-up change before taking a break at the end of 2004, after parting ways with previous drummer Rob Parsons.
No Problemos were a popular band around Leicester, playing frequent gigs around the city and producing two EPs, the most recent being "Soundtrack to Second Place", recorded in January 2004. With the new name, The Airport Scene have decided to scrap almost all of the old NP songs, with the exception of the two available for streaming on this site, as they feel they want to leave a lot of their old sound behind and concentrate more on what is to come, and that these two tracks are the only older songs that really fit in with the new sound. That said, The Airport Scene are still keeping their catchy choruses, emotional vocals and melodic guitars, combined with Gav's creative and powerful drumming, to continue all that was popular about No Problemos, but adding a certain maturity that will hopefully take them to a new level." The Airport Scene played their final show in September 2005. The No Problemos EP "Soundtrack to Second Place" is available to download in full above for free.
