"The meld of grinding guitars and slap bass drive the album, akin to what Sonic Youth would sound like if they replaced Kim Gordon with Larry Graham from Sly and the Family Stone. Keeping it afloat is the odd percussion interplay of the dual drummers — one on timpani and the other riding a snare and cymbal."
