Influences
One part hip-hop(and I stress hip hop, not rap), mixed with some electronica and industrial, a little shoegazer mixed in for balance, perhaps a little dash of my love for Brit-pop, some droning synths to keep it steady, vocals that can come from any and all of these genres, a few samples, a dash of speculation, and a love of all things wizard rock.
Mix well and back away, who know which way this will take off.
The Albus Severus Potters. A band that blends my various and many speculative ideas about what the future may hold for Harry Potters young son with some of the music I like. Currently I am doing things that blend hip-hop and industrial beats beats, with droning synths and guitar. The vocal stylings will be many and varied, depending on the track. I am currently working alone, but have planned a couple of sessions with other musical magi that I know. I will put out my first E.P. for free over myspace. It is to be called "Four Dreams on the Express". It is an album about Albus Severus Potters first ride on the express. Each of the four songs on the album represents a dream that Albus could have had on his way to Hogwarts. Each song on the album will also be associated with one of the four houses of Hogwarts. The dreams each represent a hope, a fear, or a clue to where I think Albus may end up.
I put up an unfinished Demo of the beat and snyth part for the song "Dream 1". It is the Dream about Slytherin. Look for the finished album to appear before the end of August.
