The Alchemy is a young, diverse, and musically intense four-piece band that has been rocking shows in their hometown of San Antonio, as well as throughout Texas, since 2001 under another name. Which a new sound that evolved, it was time for a new name and a new beginning, which resulted in the name, The Alchmey. Each member of the young ensemble of The Alchemy brings a unique influence and pure talent to the band. Imagine The Alchemy as an alternative, hard rock mix of the Deftones and Finch, led by a (Incubus) "Science"-album Brandon Boyd vocal style. The Alchemy is also participating in statewide promotion via club shows and radio airplay in major markets such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and parts of West Texas. "Kevin Arnold" is receiving heavy rotation on college radio stations, as well as excellent reviews from local and regional press. The deput ep which features "Kevin Arnold", is soon to drop. Having had the opportunity to open for well-known acts such as The Start, Hawthorne Heights, Sparta, Allister, and The Bled, The Alchemy's success is accelerating rapidly. Robert Barowski, Editor-In-Chief of "The Collegian" states, "Most music out on the shelves today sounds the same. The Alchemy's sound is pure. It has not been corrupted by the industry's lame attitude towards music".
