Neta Weisman, a unique guitarist & a “New-Wave” genius meteor, has just established a new album (out in israel, soon world wide), which has been produced in a domestic studio in Tel Aviv city.
Weisman and 4 amazing Israeli musicians produced 10 brilliant numbers characterize with an alchemistic state of mind, for their ambitious synthesis of versatile musical elements.
Since the mid-70ies, Weisman has been known for his wild innovativeness: He took part in several Israeli significant projects, such as: “Zvuv” & “Hot water”-bands alongside Rami Fortis, one of the most prominent musicians in Israel. Weisman has also took a significant part in Fortis’ outstanding first album “Plonter”.
During the 80ies Weissman has settled in Europe, which shortly turned into his home-base for the next decade: At the beginning, he initiated S.O.B with the well-known Israeli rock stars Berry Sacharof & Ramy Fortis. S.O.B briefly split into “Minimal Compact” (Berry Sacharof & Ramy Fortis) and “Following Sentence” (Neta Weisman), a New Wave Dutch ensemble which impressively succeed in Europe. Eventually, “Following Sentence’s vocalist, Neel van dust Elst, went on successfully with her own band known as “Neel”.
While Weisman has been preoccupied with his career in Europe, He also became one of the predecessors of the New wave scene, that has just been arose in Tel Aviv city: along with his new bands,”Madam E” and “Point of View” he became one of the first musicians who performed in “penguin”, “coliseum” and “colnoa Dan”, three mythological millstones within the Israeli sexy night scene. Retrospectively, it turned out that in these gigs, attended and flourished members of future Israeli super-bands (“Mashina” “Tislam”) or rather highly innovative ones (“Nikmat Ha’tractor” and “Siam”).
Since the mid-90ies till nowadays, Weisman has been channeled his creativity to business initiatives, But five years ago he re-charged with the urge experience and re-amaze, taking a listen to the following numbers, may re-prove that he’s indeed a musical alchemist, a perfect autodidact and a underdog of the periodic table, who might produce the brilliant spark out of very basic elements..
On Friday 2nd October 2009, Weisman is about to launch the Alchemystique’s new album, in Tel-Aviv city Indie festival in Tzavta theater.
