Joshua Craig originally hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. From 1997 to 2005, Joshua was a top call session musician in Los Angeles, California, performing on over 36 million albums. Joshua then decided to begin his career as a Frontman/Songwriter/Producer, enter "The Alien Blakk".

Having worked with the likes of Rob Halford, Coolio, Xzibit, Motograter, Christina Aguilera, Dr. Dre as well as members of Metallica, Fear Factory, Testament, KISS, White Zombie, Whitesnake, CKY, Flotsam & Jetsam, Earshot, Adema, Soulfly, Murderdolls, Fight, Methods Of Mayhem, Stuck Mojo, Halford, Double Drive, Powerman 5000, Death and Cypress Hill to name a few, Joshua enlisted David Ellefson and Craig Nielsen for "The Alien Blakk".

David Ellefson was fresh off a 19 year ride with Megadeth when he met Joshua. Joshua and Davids original meeting about "The Alien Blakk", was in 2002, at a Coolio concert, that Joshua, was the Music Director/Band Leader for. David has played on both albums from "The Alien Blakk" and continues to have a limited role in Alien activities. When time and circumstance allow, David will be involved. Chris Kontos, one of the founding creative forces behind the original "Machine Head", line up, has joined "THE ALIEN BLAKK", to solidify his role once again as one of the Metal Worlds contemporary greats. Chris founded the Bay areas "back beat groove metal" sound induced in the critically acclaimed debut "Machine Head" recording, "Burn My Eyes". Further pushing his limits, you will rediscover his power in the live setting and future recordings with "The Alien Blakk".

"The Alien Blakk", recorded a demo, which became a European release under, Black Lotus Records. Black Lotus, went out of business the week that "The Alien Blakk" release entitled, "Modes Of Alienation" became available. As stated in the contract for "The Alien BLakk", "in case of an Act Of G'd or said company filing bankrupsy, all Master recordings would revert back to Joshua". -The Masters to the original release and any other release options, have reverted back to Joshua in purpatuity.

April of 2010 offers "Bekoming". "Bekoming" is the new offering from "The Alien Blakk", taking almost 3 full years to compose and record. As there was no label or time limitation, the group rediscovered music in a spiritual and personally reflective sence. The new direction soon becam a groundbreaking and cathartic direction for Joshua, especially in his own life. The band worked diligently to hone the new direction that will surely influence Metal Bands for the next generation.

All music by "The Alien Blakk" is Produced, Written, Arranged and recorded by Joshua Craig. Special guest performers on the sophomore effort, "Bekoming", are Deron Miller (CKY), Kevin Talley of Daath (ex-Chimaira), Donnie Hamby (Double Drive) and Eric A K & Craig Nielsen (Flotsam & Jetsam) with more to be announced.
Drummer Chris Kontos (MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT) has joined THE ALIEN BLAKK, the band led by guitarist/producer Joshua Craig.
Commented Craig: "Chris and I have been talking for about a year or so about THE ALIEN BLAKK. It has been over this time that we have come to a solid understanding of each other as people and as musicians that I am happy to make this announcement.
"Chris has an approach that is [John] Bonham meets Igor [Cavalera; SEPULTURA] and way beyond, in my opinion. He has all the ALIEN music and digs the newer direction and we are both enthusiastic about where this can go to for future material."
Added Chris: "I can't wait to get in the room with Josh and make some music I think the 'power trio combo' vibe will bring out some really raw and inventive metal music with rock overtones new to THE ALIEN BLAKK sound perhaps. 2010 will bring out full disclosure of THE ALIEN BLAKK!"
THE ALIEN BLAKK frontman Joshua Craig, has a new, free streaming monthly online guitar lesson. This month's lesson focuses on Drop D playing. Says Craig: "As most metal these days is drop tuned, I wanted to focus a lesson on the approach of this style of playing. I have infused playing rhythm and lead styles at the same time as is the case with most of todays approach in our style."
The Alien Blakk frontman, Joshua Craig, will be doing two separate speaking engagements this Thursd
ay. The first will be on Music Business and the second will be on Production and Engineering in Metal.
