The Amazing Few!
There is a unique slice of psycho pop emerging in Dublin. Arizonian band leader Keiron Black imagines a musical spaghetti western; just replace the guns for words and the horses for stories.
The Amazing Few are a 5 – 14 piece band.
The Major Players are Keiron Black (Narrator), Trigger McGillicutty(guitar and stuff), Sorcha Leech (Vocals), Niall Leech (Vocals and bass), Plant (Melaleuca alternifolia), John Healy (gitboxes), Luciano Forte (Drums or anything he gets his hands on) and last but not least the big girl big brass band filling the horn section.
They have devised the most energetic band to express their unique form of story telling. The wildly different, excitable song writing has been compared to Frank Zappa, The Clash, Frank Black, Heavy Vegetable and Moldy Peaches. It’s fast and quirky; punk at heart.

Om Festival-The Submarine Bar August 16th 2008. 2pm Cost €15.00 The first Om Festival will take place this August 16th at the Submarine bar in Crumlin An eclectic mix of cultural events will take to this venue for a day of intriguing visuals and memorable contemporary sounds. Featured musical acts will be surrounded by a programme of high achieving visual crafts, while the overall energetic performative quality of this day will be one to remember. The Amazing Few No stranger to the festival stage, The Amazing Few will take you high up into the peak of the whole atmosphere. This headlining act will spiral the audience into their own exploration of the giant psycho pop-machine experience. Much hyped, The Amazing Few is a kind of crazy and energetic act set to end the day in an elaborate musical pop whirlwind. The Blood Red Mountain Band Another band to take to the Om stage will be this tenuous and experimental collaboration of musicians, who tend to invite their country sounds into the wider realms of contemporary left-rock. This act is an entertaining performance that will leave you feeling that you’ve chanced upon something mesmerising and really memorable. Junah This set is a good, consistent blend of uplifting songs with charged melodies and slower, more silencing folk ballads. Junah’s slower sounds will encourage a relaxing musical ambience, while their more upbeat tracks will have the audience up and dancing away listlessly. An intriguing act, they are not to be missed. The Om Festival will be a thoroughly enjoyably indulgence for those thirsty for a creative and balanced taste of young Irish culture. So for a real mix of the mileu-put the Om Festival in your calendar for August 2008!!
