Saint Schizophrenia Studios represents the work of Sean Matthew Howard and a shadowy character known only as, The Amazing Tumnus. The two artists were acquainted briefly during a painful, yet mercifully brief stay in Dothan, Alabama in 1997. By a fortunate turn of fate, the two were reunited during an equally agonzing and yet unfinished stay in Fresno, California. They agreed that if they were to endure their stay in the San Joaquin Valley they should at least make the best of it and subsequently formed Saint Schizophrenia Studios.
Due to the varied interests and talents between the two artists involved, Saint Schizophrenia lives up to its name. Sean's images are usually captured in loose lines and bright colors. He has also done a bit of faux and mural work in homes and businesses. Tumnus stays in the studio mostly, working on his dark and heavily detailed works which he refers to as "visual cautionary tales". He is obsessed with chiaroscuro in art and is infatuated with the work of artists like Rembrandt and Caravaggio. Occasionally he will pull out a deck of cards and entertain his friends with some rather amazing (hence the name, we assume) illusions and card manipulations.
Both Sean and Tumnus hope to soon pack up the whole operation and ship the caravan to New Orleans to be part of the reconstruction. They are sure that the greatest city in America half-demolished would be better than the other whole cities that they have found themselves trapped in.
