    .. The Amber Herd: mixing post rock spaciousness with vicious walls of sound at pleasingly regular intervals. Notts-based five piece who’ve spent the last few years clawing their way through the soft white underbelly of the local Nottingham scene and are now slipping up past the ether to deposit themselves somewhere near the stars.... .. .. The Amber Herd have been busy over the last twelve months, playing venues in Nottingham and further afield with some great bands including The Delays, That Petrol Emotion, Blackbud, Sound Of Guns, Luxury Stranger, Arms and Sleepers (USA), In Isolation, Made of Leaves, Model Morning and Frontiers. .. .. Last year was great for us and we played some really well- received shows at The Rescue Rooms, Bodega, Seven, The Maze and Loggerheads. We released our debut, double A side single- Stage Fright/ Foot Tapper recorded at Stuck On A Name studios in Nottingham. Since then we have been featured in session on Dean Jackson's Show on BBC Radio Nottingham and also had the single played on John Holmes' show. .. .. .. .. .... .. .... Following our debut shows at The Rescue Rooms (supporting That Petrol Emotion) and The Social (supporting Blackbud) we were filmed for the Evening Post's "This is Live" ( aired in September) and the I'm Not From London movie. .. .. We played our first headline show in London on Saturday 16th January at The Good Ship in Kilburn and following that wrote some new songs, finished recording our new single, played a live radio session and got ourselves a new bass player! .. .. We launched the new single -a double A side featuring Red Gold and Thursday- to the world at an extremely special show upstairs at The Central in Nottingham on Saturday 1st May and subsequently played a packed Bodega with The Delays. .. .. The new single is out now on iTunes and Amazon to download and we have some very lovely and highly collectible numbered copies available to purchase by mail order. .. .. ...... .. ..
