THE AMBIENCE were formed about 6 years ago in Medway Towns in Kent , originally performing and recording under the name Parker.

Their music has progressed and matured over the years and now they are best described as a band on a heavy dose of reverb and delay, with surging heartfelt vocals. Influences come from bands like Doves, Sigur Ros, My Bloody Valentine, Verve, Ride, Explosions In The Sky, Stone Roses, Joy Division, The Chameleons etc.

The band quickly started gaining attention by handing out hundreds of demos in the snow outside venues in london and getting radio airplay. They were invited to take part in the Te Mikka Festival in Slovenia in 2004, where their performance had people in tears and was described as "definitely the highlight of both festival days".

Since forming, The Ambience have prolifically written and recorded material for their numerous releases, which have been received extremely well and helped the band gain status on the Medway live scene. They now play regularly on the London circuit and around the UK.
