This songwriter can sing like an angel and write convincingly of God, honesty, love and all the good things in life. Her childlike acceptance and faith in people is obvious in her musical language and, as a muralist, her paintbrush.
A dynamic performer with infectious energy and hope, Jodi Adair is bursting open the music scene in Texas, right when we needed it.
Her carefully crafted debut CD, Settle Down Easy, features Austin's finest studio musicians, a testament to the talent here to discover.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

We are getting geared up for the 6th St Smokeout, and it's now less than 3 weeks away!
We'll have plenty of pizza, from the Mellow Mushroom, to take care of your munchies, and we'll also have a psychedellic multimedia light show for your viewing pleasure!!
Also, if you have just a couple minutes to spare, go by Do512 and vote "I Like" on the event page there; it'll keep the Smokeout near the top of the list of events for that day, and the "Higher" we are on the list the better!!!! The Do512 event page is here: http://do512.com/event/2009/10/17/texas-normls-4th-annual-6th-street-smokeout
Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward has been diagnosed with liver cancer, and in the coming year, he will have to undergo many costly treatments and eventually a liver transplant. Hayward's illness has forced him to take an indefinite leave of absence from the band that has been such a huge part of his life for almost 40 years. As a consequence, he is receiving no income, and he has no health insurance.
To help ease Hayward's financial burden, there will be a benefit concert on Sunday, October 4, to help raise much needed money for Hayward and his family. The concert will be held at:
The Canyon Club 28912 Roadside Drive Agoura Hills, CA 91301-3304
Doors open at 5 p.m. Music starts at 5:30 p.m. and will continue through the night.
Tickets are $20 for general admission and $50 for preferred VIP seating. A special "Richie Hayward" drum kit from Drum Workshop will be auctioned off, and there will more rare, collectible items up for bid, as well as raffle drawings throughout the night. Commemorative T-shirts will be available for sale.
Companies that are already involved include Drum Workshop, Sabian, Zildjian, Pearl, Gretsch, Yamaha, Tama, Mapex, ddrum, Guitar Center, Modern Drummer magazine, Drum! magazine, LA Weekly and Southland Blues Magazine; more will be announced.
How's it going? There is a free track available for you at the moment on our myspace page. Just click the FREE DOWNLOAD box at the top of the page and enter a valid email to download the tune. How cool is that!
Have a great week and thank you very much for being electronically connected to us as friends and fans.
