About The Andrea Magee Band

Performing for many years as a singer and part-time collaborator in various outfits, in 1999 Andrea took to the road for the first time in search of her own sound. First up were the coffee houses of Los Angeles for a year, then back to London before heading to Italy in 2002 where she lived for 3 years, studying by day and strumming her guitar by night. In 2005 convinced to have finally found her sound and more importantly the songs, she returned to the UK to set about finding the musicians bring her songs to life.

Andrea's first bona fide EP will be coming shortly. At the moment she is busily finalising its design so keep watching this space for news of its release. "It is not often that a skilled and original funk fusion band comes along, but for their very first proper gig the Andrea Magee band laid the foundations for a promising career. Led by the self-styled Bubblegum Queen Magee their eclectic musical palette is first and foremost funky, but in the broadest sense, with latin, hip hop, jazz and soul vibes shining through. In Magee they have a frontwoman with bags of fun energy and a determination to have a party. And that's what we did!"
