What are you angry about?
Look around and you will see a broken world, one that makes our everyday problems seem trivial. The world is full of people who are in need and crying for help, and most of us respond by turning and looking the other way. We at The Anger Project have decided not to look the other way. We have decided that anger is not always a bad thing. We have decided that there are problems worth being angry about, and we are dedicating our time to raising awareness for three causes, in the hope of making a difference.
To Write Love on Her Arms is an organization designed to provide help for the helpless. Its aim is to save those who are suffering from depression, self-inflicted wounds, and addiction. These topics are often avoided, but now is the time that we stop avoiding them and start doing something. These are real issues. The founders of To Write Love on Her Arms realize that these people need help. You can join the fight. You can help save a life.
Tom’s Shoes: As you may have guessed, Tom’s Shoes is a shoe company. What you may not know is that with each pair of shoes purchased, another pair will be donated to a child that needs them. Shoes...how often do you actually think about the shoes you are wearing? Could you ever imagine not having a pair of shoes? We take so much for granted, but there are many children in this world who do not even have a pair of shoes. We can change that;we can improve the life of a child.
Rwanda Clean Water: In the country of Rwanda, many people spend half their day walking to get water to provide for their families. Much of this water is contaminated with bacteria that lead to illness and death. Rwanda Clean Water seeks to change this. With each $3,000 donated, this organization will build a well in Rwanda that will provide water for about seven hundred and fifty people. I know that it may be hard to imagine not having access to clean water, but this is the everyday reality of the people of Rwanda. We can help to change that.
* Perhaps none of these causes have moved you. If that is the case, we at The Anger Project urge you, please, go out and find something that does. Everyone can make a difference, no matter how small it may seem. The Anger Project is about putting your anger to good use.
So… what are you angry about?
