About the antikaroshi

We are a 3-piece from germoney called The Antikaroshi.
We named ourselves after a song 2 of us used to play with their old band.
The 3 characters involved are THEA (g,voc,keys) NTIK (bg,keys) and AROSHI (dr.) We played our first gig with a very cool band called DIARIO on Oct. the 12^th 2007 in Halle/Huehnermanhattan. They also helped us setting up the PA properly that night.
We recorded a 4 track demo in 2007 and soon Marco Malet became a friend (the first one!) of us on myspace if that matters to some of you.
We played more concerts- some of them were great and some were ok.

We recorded a bunch of new songs during 2008 and played the mighty South of Mainstream festival. After that Exile on mainstream rec. decided to put out our debut which was released on February 20, 2009. Quick Tip: To get hold of it just slightly move the mouse deeper and click the picture which shows the beautiful cover designed by matthew irwin (thanks!) in its entirety. By doing so, you also support a cozy home for a bunch of other great bands.

ALVARO, musikalisch aktiv seit den frühen 1960er Jahren, macht seine eigene, sehr persönliche, sog. "transitional music", nachdem er in den 1970er Jahren erst die Band "The 101ers" zusammen mit Joe Strummer gegründet hatte, und dann aber bald darauf verließ, weil er an einer Fortführung des überkommenen 3-Akkord-Rock'n'Roll-Schemas nicht mehr interessiert war. Seitdem lebt er in Konstanz am Bodensee und hält sich ausschließlich mit seiner Musik über Wasser, mit voller Hingabe eben.
