The sound clips above are not too flash - a couple are from a video of our first ’Weekend Warriors’ gig and the others are from video of a gig last year.
The What graduated from the Melbourne, Australia ’Weekend Warriors’ program in November 2005. We play a mixture of classic pommy rock (Stones, Who, Beatles you know the stuff) with a bit of newer things we like. We started with 7 songs, now we have about 40-50 (more with a bit of practice).
Our musical background varies from ’played in working bands for a few years’ to ’never played bass before’. As you can see we are mostly old farts. However, we are loud and have a great time bringing our sense of fun and energy to our audience.
