The Apprentice entered the studio on May 6, 2008 to record their new Self-Titled full length with a new producer/engineer named Josh Antonuccio. Josh Antonuccio is the co-owner of 3 Elliot Studios nestled in the hills of the Appalachian Mountains located in the small college town of Athens, OH. Entering the studio for their fourth release on Future Destination Records, the band had the goal of creating an organic recording of songs that sonically expressed the lyrical content, a blend of songs about faith, murder, heartbreak and hope. Wrapped in a unique expression of modern Americana, the band achieved a beautiful treatise of the human condition, flawed and beautiful, broken but not hopeless.

Yeah, I love being reminded of simple things like that, because it can change the way you look at your circumstances. Ah fun that you're working at a church. I'm involved with the youth here, that's always exciting. New tunes and touring! That's great, though I don't see any dates out here. When's that going to happen? Haha.
Ah, Hey! I was just thinking about you guys the other day, and the happy fun tour! Ha. Things are going well, ups and downs, but Jesus is good. How're you?! What's new in your life?
