About me:
Arabianmonkey.com was founded in the summer of 2007 in Davison, Michigan by two twenty-something college students looking for a way to promote their writing. They chose "The Gerk" and "The Douginator" as pseudonyms and began to construct what would eventually become the Arabianmonkey.com that you know and love today.
The site was initially quite a humble endeavor, boasting only a handful of articles and the most unstructured and visually unappealing of formats. Eventually Arabian Monkey was redesigned, just in time to add new writers. "Jesus Shuttlesworth," "Max Power," and "Drokk" joined the staff, contributing insight on a wide variety of topics. Arabianmonkey.com also incorporated a forum, a games section, a store, a page devoted to making money online, and a poker blog detailing The Gerk's internet poker career.
Late in 2007, the site was restructured again, this time boasting a new format, a links page, and a new writer, "Demonic Laughter."
Dozens of articles and hundreds of thousands of hits later, Arabianmonkey.com has grown into a successful and highly marketable internet domain. The completely original feature articles that make up the core of the site have appeared across the world wide web, appearing on Ebaum's World, Madville, Evil Humor, 13GB, Leenks, Ray Owen's Joke-A-Day, Linkswarm, Bored Bot, Slacker Network, Maddox Links, I-Am-Bored, and Milk & Cookies, as well as internet bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, and Del.icio.us.
