... Archaic was formed by 3 ex-members of Braindeath (2001-2004, Hungary) in 2004, setting a new path in musical experience mainly thrash coloured with many kinds of other influences but still based on the old style of the group. Among a couple of concerts, the band had its second blitzkrieg in Kiev (Ukraine) the same year, but for the first time under the name Archaic. The members have decided to record the first album and started prepare for the big event. Originally only 4 songs were planned to be on the EP, but according to the bands decision finally 10 songs were recorded to create a full album. In order to produce a professional sound the recording and the mastering were done in one of the most recognized studios of Hungary.
After delaying the release of the album a couple of times, the masterpiece was ready in 2006, January.
In the Fall of 2006 contract has been signed with Dutch based Vic Records and after the fundaments of the label being settled and contract being made with PHD Time has come to envy the dead has been released in Europe and North America in 2009 May.
In 2007 a new undiscovered guitar talent has joined the band; Akos Olt.
In the meanwhile through the years several shows have been organized and held briefly in Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Germany.
A full German tour made with Testament in 2008 also.
At the end of 2008 the band and Akos part ways.
Besides the shows an unique sound and form has been made and designed with the help of custom made gears and instruments.
Nowadays an EP recording is in process and will be released in mid 2009.
The second full length album planned to be recorded in 2009 to widen the musical range of thrash and death with additional spice…
