Sounds Like
We sound a lot like Stopwatch Boogie, with the lyrical stylings of Fellowship of the Bling. Mike's guitar parts are very reminiscent of Ukrainian Craptacular though.
"Formed in the spring of 2006, The Archetypes entered the Rhode Island rock scene on a mission. Disenchanted with the posturing of local cover bands, singer/songwriter Ted Comerford and guitarist Mike Burdon began writing songs of their own in a dilapidated and abandoned building in Jamestown, RI. Bass player Jeremy Thomas and drummer Matt Cavanaugh were longtime friends of Comerford and Burdon and were invited to join the newly forming group almost from the outset. All members are hardened musicians and all have completely varied and distinct musical backgrounds. Drawing from influences in the genres of folk, classic rock, punk/hardcore, and reggae, the blend of sounds work to create a unique style. Whatever forces were at work, the combination paid off and the foursome became The Archetypes. Since that spring, the group has drawn the attention of several record labels (joining Sling Slang Records out of Connecticut in September 2006), has played many shows ranging from New York to Boston, and has recorded the 12 song album, 'In Vino Veritas... or whatever', set for release in July 2007. Most importantly though, the song writing is unrelenting and has not slowed a bit since the days spent in that old, rundown building; the catalogue continues to grow and so does the support." -Mike Harrington-'Northeast Rockstar Tribune'
