The Archons are a duo based out of Austin, Texas comprised of R. Jason Bonner and Steven T. Hall. Their working relationship began when they each quit their former bands (Young Heart Attack for Hall, The Vain for Bonner) in 2006. The two are currently completeing several recordings for a SERIES of limited edition DIY EPs to be released on a monthly basis throughout 2007.
"The Young Heart Attack fell apart, broke up, or whatever, Steven was helping run the chaos of the band I was in at the time called The Vain. On the verge of that band breaking up, some "benefactor" came up with some cash to fly us up to New York and record an E.P. with Steven producing. Needless to say, that band ended up folding amidst several typical rock and roll cliches, many of which I take full responsibility for.......but, that recording session made us realize we could work well together. I really enjoy making music with Steven, he's got great ideas and can play all the instruments I can't. I think we will become one of the classic duos, like Laurel and Hardy, George and Weezy, or Barney and Andy. "
