Alright, take 3rd wave ska music, soup it up with some good old fashioned midwest punk rock, add some politically infused lyrics and you've got The Argonauts.
Copy this code to your website to display this banner!
The Argonauts use to consist of 7 people.
More than half of them left...then one came back.
What does that tell you about the current members of this band?
No just kidding, we're nice guys. Midwest ska and punk rock (that is sometimes performed as a 3 piece acoustic). Give it a listen. The music speaks for itself. It's a pretty unique blend of ska and punk with a little bit of jazz influence....but with even more of the old "stick it to the man" mentality.
Check it out! We just put up new everything...layout, bands, music, etc.
We are looking for new management clients for 2010. Email us if you interested. We are taking on graphic design projects (MySpace layouts, album artwork, t-shirt deigns), anything you or your bands needs we can do.

Slabs of the Tabernacle NYE Party @ La Cheetah Club (formerly The Twisted Wheel) 31/12/09
Mark du Mosch (Moustache Records - Rotterdam) Electrick Dragon LIVE (Rotterdam) Casionova (Cyber Dance Records, Magic Waves, IFM) Slabs of the Tabernacle DJs
Headlining the New Year party we welcome back Mark du Mosch. This will be his third time at Slabs so it's fair to say that we have much respect for the Rotterdam artist. An obsessive collector, Mark's DJ sets manage to be intriguing and hard rocking in equal measures, and we really couldn't think of anyone better to headline the New Year extravaganza.
Joining Mark will be fellow Rotterdamer Ricky the Dragon, performing a rare live set as Electrick Dragon. Having put out records dating right back to the early 90s (under many many aliases), Ricky carries with him some proper techno credentials. With his most recent output on Moustache Records he has produced two epic synth party bombs that are now firm favourites of ours. We first caught the Dragon live show at the Magic Waves festival earlier this year and it blew us all away, and so are delighted to welcome Ricky to Glasgow for his first Scottish performance.
And finally, making the trip up from Brighton will be the Italo battle axe Casionova. Over the past two years Casionova has become a permanent fixture at Slabs of the Tabernacle. His DJ sets are straight from the heart affairs and again we couldn't think of a better guest to see off 2009.
Hey hope all is well your way! If you don't mind we'd like to tell you a little about ourselves.
We're a 'Street Rock n Roll' band based out of Dayton, OH. Since 2006 we've been combining Rock 'n Roll, Punk, Metal, and Glam to make our original sound. We just released a new record 'Shotgun Hero' on our own label, and toured the Mid-West and East Coast.
If you have a chance we'd really appreciate it if you could swing by our page and check out our tunes. If you like what you hear let us know!
Hey whats going on? Hope you don't mind us whoring ourselves on your page, we're a new band from Akron trying to get the word out about our 1 year aniversary show, our biggest show yet, you should come out. Support local music.

Its all ages! doors open at 7:00pm they sell fairly cheap beer and wine there, but security's loose, and i'm sure their drinks aren't as cheap as stuffing a 5th of 110 vodka into your girlfiends purse, Just a heads up. I don't like our fans being discuraged to come see good music by bar prices.

Also for those of you who aren't familiar with Halloween in Kent, it is the biggest Halloween festival in Ohio drawing anywhere from 10,000 to 25,000 costumed drunks ready to reek mayham downtown till the sun comes up. So the after party will be right there waiting.
The Kent Stage is located right in the heart of downtown Kent, you can't miss it.
