LPGA golfer Kristy McPherson is anything but par for the course.

You were just a kid when you were diagnosed. How did you cope?
“Being a sixth-grader, if felt like it was the end of the world. I couldn’t go to school. I didn’t know what was happening. It all happened so fast - one day I was fine and the next I couldn’t move. But my family was so supportive and wonderful. My dad would pick me up and carry me out to the porch to hang out outside. He picked me up and carried me to the golf course. I’d ride in the cart and watch him play. I couldn’t do it on my own, but just being out there with him and around sports was exciting. Everybody was so supportive. They were just as scared as I was, but they didn’t show it. Not knowing what was going on was the scariest part.”  Read the full article on Kristy McPherson

    Hi All,

My 4 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with JRA. We live in Florida and I would love to talk to some people who have children that live with JRA. Right at the moment she is taking Naproxen but she still seems to be really uncomfortable. I can't believe how different she now from just a month ago. She is in dance to help with her exercise but by the time she's done with her class she is so tired and before she could have danced for hours.

    Thanks,
    Lana

I am about to start Simponi (Golimumab) does anyone have any experience with it? If so please message me. I have researched it online, I am interested in personal experiences with this new drug.
(I have tried and failed many oral meds, as well as the heavy hitters, Humira, Enbrel, Methotrexate, Remicade, Orencia, Kineret, Rituxan, and more...) I welcome questions as well as friends who understand inflammatory disease.

    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here or know of anybody who has taken Rituxan for RA? I'd like to know the good & the bad because I'm gonna get my first dose in a few days & am a bit nervous about it. Thanks.

    THIS IS A HUG CERTIFICATE ! !
Send One to All Your Friends Who You Think Deserve A Hug
(Which, Hopefully Includes the Person Who Sent It to You)
You might send it to your enemies as well!
It'll really make them stop & Think!!!
If you don't receive this back,
nobody likes you, and they wish you'd stop bugging them!
If you receive this back 1 time, open up!
Find more friends, enemies, or enemies pretending to be friends.

If you receive this back 2 times .

You're off to a good start,
unless you sent it to yourself.

    That's cheating!
If you receive this back 3 times, You're a good friend.

If you receive this back 4 times,
You are truly loved as a friend!!

Hey my name is Alyssa & I was wondering if there were any people in the South Lake Tahoe/Carson City, NV area on here. I've had JRA since 1997 when I was 10 years old. I have never met & talked with anyone else who had it as well. I'd like to get to know some people who are around my age that either have JRA or RA. Please feel free to contact me on here.
    Thanks a bunch!
