The Arts Pneumonia is a small not-for-profit arts Journal made in the spirit of Dada, DIY Culture and the Cool of Sixties Design. We’re not the most professional of arts publications in the world but we we make it for the love of it and because we believe in the Art. We’re fed up with all the rubbish we are fed by boring art magazines, full of superficial advertising with no content, no meaning and no resonance.
We started Pneumonia whilst we were studying in Norwich during 2005. We were inspired by the New York Dada Journal ‘291’. We ran for a year as a student publication, then during the summer of 2006 we moved to London where we started work on Issue Four, a transitional issue which sits between our student publication and the brilliance that is Issue Five.
Who I'd like to meet: We are looking for people who are interested in contributing articles, art works, photography, creative writing, art theory, graphic artworks, or music, film and theatre reviews/articles etc. Also people who are interested in subscribing or collaborating on projects. As always, there are many plans and exciting opportunities in the pipeline for the coming months. The Deadline for issue six is March 27th, please see our website for more info.

Here’s an eclectic but utterly brilliant line-up that makes us beam with joy. On the bands front we have Northampton’s The Moons and their Joe Meek-indebted twangy melodic pop, all the way from Glasgow come riding those psychedelic Fast Camels, and from good ole’ London Town is once again Arthur Delaney and his Donovan-esque acid folk. Guest DJs this time are garage 45 maestro Scott Copeland and the Eyes Wide Open girls Holly and Sarah!
If you're not on the guest list, you're going to have to wait outside.
