Hi Jools, Here is a review from Classic Rock mag I thought you might like!
Taken from the Summer Issue, Classic Rock Mag.
Pendragon Past and Presence UK prog gets nostalgic. again. Back in the early 80's, Gloucester based Pendragon's amalgamation of Genesis and Camel helped them to become leading lights of the then New Wave Of British Prog. Some 20 years down the line they still head that particular pack, and are still largely ignored by the British mainstream. This sumptuously packaged concert DVD recorded in Poland, finds the current quartet aided and abetted by former band members as they honour the 21st anniversary of their debut album The Jewel. Exuberant epics like Excalibur and Leviathan may hark back to a sweaty Marquee in 1981, but they move beyond nostalgia with the sheer zest of the performance. Old fans will shed a wistful tear, while the prog-curious may discover something of Pendragon's eduring appeal.
Hi Jools - had a look at your blog - very interesting! Put a link to your website on www.littlebighorns.co.uk News page - will put something on my website too. Hope to see you Sunday! Patsy x
Got the album playing in the car almost non-stop and it's perfect for driving on these warm sunny days. You have to let more people know about you as a solo artist - perhaps a Jools Baker MySpace site?
Anyway, good luck with it all and to anyone wondering if it's worth a listen - it really is! Just buy Jools Baker's album; you will not be disappointed.
