A Brief History....................................... In October 2006 four friends from Washington started chatting in the local pub about forming a band. Craig, Trev, Nick and Gaz had all recently left different projects and were keen to get straight back into the swing of things. With their mixed tastes in music they decided to get together now and then to have a mess around with some ideas they had. A few weeks later they bumped into Coxy on a drunken night out. Coxy had recently started playing bass and seemed keen to get in on the action. The weeks that followed produced some cracking new songs and by early 2007 thought it was the right time to unleash their music to public ears. They secured a gig at a local venue (West 1) and the months to follow seen the recording of their fist E.P. at Polestar, Newcastle. To date THE ASTONS have performed at numerous venues across the reigon supporting various well known acts such as "Freerunner" & Northumberland signed band "Clear Blue Skies" ...............................
