The Austin Electronik Musik Grid is a conglomeration of Austin-based electronic musicians including electronic and industrial bands, experimental electronic, and DJ's. The only aim of the Grid is the mutual promotion of its members by its members.
Members of the Grid can use our name and logo for promotional-value only sponsorship if they want. On occasion we will organize Grid showcases and we will attempt to include as many members as possible at these shows, to promote all members and the Grid as a whole (btw please note as of now we only do several showcases a year and I will not be able to showcase everyone, however all members are encouraged to come to the showcases to network). We also intend on working closely with other Austin entities in an attempt to promote the Grid, its members, and the Austin electronic scene as a whole.
If fans are into one of us, they will be introduced to all of us. There is no other function to the Grid. We're not an organized entity. We're not in competition with, but would rather like to work with, other Austin organizations. We offer no services other than sponsorship and networking and we'll retain these simple intentions. All participating artists are listed on the GRID website at www.austinmusicgrid.org.
GRID MEMBERSHIP and showcases will be for Austin-based bands only. To become a member come to a showcase or to one of our member's shows and talk to us. You may have to talk to me more than once and yes, come to more than one show... this sh*t takes alot of time and work and so I'm usually pretty busy (it also takes $ to promote, and since any $ we make we give all back to the artists we actually lose some $ doing this.. this means that we don't have a complaint department). Please note I will always be much more receptive if you're already active in the music community here in Austin... thanks.
We'd like to show Austin, the beats are here - so get the f**k out here, dance, snap your fingers, and stomp your feet...
