The Automatics was formed in 2005 by Heidi, Alex, JP, Lloyd and Shiloah. After a dry run of some covers at Heidi's house (then using only a nylon acoustic guitar and a dusty grand piano) and a full-band rehearsal at a decrepit studio in UP Teachers Village, they had their first gig at Gweilos Eastwood in January 2006. However, Shiloah had to leave a few months for work-related reasons (she's a magazine editor in chief, for chrissakes!). Lloyd had to do an exit shortly after, too, for school-related reasons (he was a Marine Engineering senior). After a series of Pinoy Pop Superstar-like bandmate hunt, the group later bumped into vocalist Aan Santos and drummer Nelson Gonzales, who both made quick exits to give way to their mother bands. The final lineup was formed when Marian Hernandez and drummer Gep "Gojira" came into the picture. The band has called it quits now, while the band members keep themselves busy with their respective projects (Marian is with Soft Pillow Kisses, Heidi with Ang Bandang Shirley, JP with Plastic Spoons, Alex with Mint Car/Nocturnal We, and Gep with Flying Sausage).

Following a string of finely crafted releases on Minus and Resopal (as Fraktion), Gaiser has rapidly become one of the most exciting and sought after producers of his generation. With an instinctive feel for the intricate mechanics of minimalist sound sculpture, his music contains the perfect balance between rhythmical energy and sonic finesse. Just check out tracks like “Egress” from his first Minus EP or his classic remix of Troy Pierce’s 25 bitches.
Uffie debuted in 2006 with the singles "Pop the Glock" and "Ready to Uff", released on French electro label Ed Banger Records, after getting a limited promo release on Arcade Mode in January. Both singles contained elements of electronic dance music and rap. Uffie's singles have been produced by French electro artists Feadz and Mr. Oizo as well as a remix by label-mate SebastiAn. Her music was first made available to the public in late 2005 on her MySpace page. Two more new tracks from Uffie, Hot Chick and In Charge became available through online MP3 blogs in July 2006, and later via her MySpace page. Ed Banger Records label head Pedro Winter has said that Uffie's debut album will be released in mid-late 2007. In February 2007, a new Uffie track titled "Dismissed" was included on Ed Rec Vol. II, an Ed Banger Records label compilation.
