The AutonoMads is a Manchester based DubPUNK band, we have all been and are involved with various other folk/punk/crust projects. We got together in september 07 and started practising to create a free party dub reggae/punk sound which was reminscent of the 90's before the criminal justice bill put a stop to free gatherings. This legislation meant that bands and dj's had to re-locate to play in overpriced clubs and allowed promoters to capitalise on peoples fun. Because of this, we see D.I.Y ethics as essential in re-gaining the dignity and honesty that music can have. There are lots of sounsystems,bands and labels who run by these principles and this is what makes a musically diverse scene unite. Supporting these principles and organisations allows us to have control over exactly what we want to convey and where we want it to go. hello there, late reply to the message you sent about a month ago and i have seen you since then. I am not in prague any more i was there last year for six month i just have not had a computer in so long that i havnt changed it but i might off been able to help the offbeat heroes out with a few decent venues but its a bit late now haha good weekend up gash fest just a fucking let down on the sunday that was the main day i went up for hahaha but oh well shit happens. Hope too see you soon im only in macclesfield so i will no doubt see in manc soon enough. Peace & Love Mike
