Q: Why "The Autumn Window" for a name?
A: I had a cat named Autumn who ran away (and I was born on Nov. 1!) and my favorite album is Something Corporate's "Leaving Through The Window".
Q: What kind of guitar do you play?
A: I play a Taylor 414-ce.
Q: Where can I get your music because it's not on iTunes?
A:I'm currently working on recording and putting together my EP but you can download some of my songs periodically on my website
TheAutumnWindow.com
Q: How old are you?
A: I'm physically 19 but mentally... that's a questionable answer. :p
Q: How long have you been writing music?
A: Since I was about 16. I started out in bands but always had an underlying love for solo acoustic music.
Q: Solo? Why don't you put together a band?
A: Honestly, I just don't have the time or the want to. I like performing on my own. It's much more intimate. Plus, I'm leaving for college in Orlando, FL in October.
Q: How come you don't have many shows?
A: I would really love to play more shows, I just don't know a lot of venues that want to have an acoustic artist come play or ticket sales are too high for one guy. If you know of any shows looking for an acoustic artist, contact me on myspace or e-mail me at
booking@theautumnwindow.com
Q: How do you write your songs?
A: I usually start with a basic chord progression idea, then I begin singing words that come to my head, if I like them, then they get written down. If I just like the melody, I try new words. Once the first few lines are formed, then I pick a direction for the lyrics and begin to build melodies and the rest of the lyrics. Most of the creativity doesn't begin to shine until I get into the studio and the experimenting begins!
