Born out of the concrete landscape of Memphis, The Avenue brings a level of emotion and musicianship so rarely seen in the Deep South. A quartet fueled by a love for music, The Avenue is striving to bring Memphis back to the forefront of the national rock scene by packing both prolific songwriting and an explosive live show. Greater than the sum of its parts, The Avenue is the combined effort of Justin Hilliard, Reuben Rock, Kilian Downing, and Matt Gunnell. The Avenue is able to reach a mature level of songwriting by effectively mixing emotions both within songs and at a greater level within each album. The Avenue has worked for years perfecting their songwriting and live show at both dive bars and Warped Tour. Following the release of their premiere full length, The Hope Inside a Plane That’s Falling, The Avenue is about to embark on their first national tour. Gaining attention from both audience and industry, The Avenue is prepared to shine as the bright beacon of Memphis.
