New LP "EX NIHILO NIHIL", out now on Sonik's Chicken Shrimp Records!!!
BLACK ALIBI 7", released in 2006 on Die in Style Records
The Aversions are into exciting music and dangerous fun. Their intense, unpredictable live shows as well as their fine punk releases speak for themselves. Raw and energetic music peppered with "Baudelaire meets Carl Perkins" kinda lyrics. TOUCHSTONE's unmistakable howls, BOREDOM L's crispy and creepy chords, SPY TAKSI' s breathless basslines, as well as MR. TAVERNIER's fast & hard skins stompin' are some of the reasons why you should check them out! Being a completely DIY entity, they released themselves a self-titled LP in 2003 as well as the ripping 7" EP "BLACK ALIBI" in 2006 on their own label, Die in Style records. A new LP entitled "EX NIHILO NIHIL" (released December 2008 on Sonik's Chicken Shrimp records) is now available for you all little rebels out there. For your pleasure, they also toured US and Europe a couple of times and played quite a deal of shows all over Quebec and Ontario, in good old Canada. So hey, honey bunnies, be sure to catch them next time they're gonna perform in any bar, crappy basement or house party near you. They'll make you jive 'til sunrise for sure... if your mama allows it!

I enjoyed your show at the Katacombes a few nights ago, and I've also been enjoying your last record. Catchy songs, interesting lyrics (they're what led me to listen to and buy your record), tight performance, and I like the whole crime novel aesthetic. I'm surprised you guys don't have a larger following.
Are your previous records still available anywhere?
