Paul and I wanted to put together a video for "The Hello Man". So we did a makeshift version and its on youtube with over 15,000 views in a little under 3 weeks time. Obviously, we haven't got the kind of cheddar required to pay to have one made, so Paul visited NYU Film department where he managed to get his foot in the door. But to wait for the beginning of sept. for the semester to start will not do us justice. We've perhaps found a dedicated team willing to shoot in NYC. more info to follow. FOR NOW CHECK YOUTUBE!
We know it's not going to win any awards but I hope it shows the song as a viable marketable pop song and us in the same light. If you like it, please leave a comment.
Thanks. Mick

OUR FIRST SINGLE "THE HELLO" MAN IS OUT NOW. BRITSOUND RADIO HAVE CALLED IT THE BEST SINGLE OF THE YEAR AND KNAVE MAGAZINE SAYS ITS "THE CATCHIEST SINGLE OF THE YEAR"
“The Hello Man” is a beautifully crafted original song mixing the familiarity of a Beatles classic with a groovy indie rock vibe. It is a sure fire hit for this fall and has been gaining growing support in its pre release marketing, achieving over 70,000 hits on myspace.
Its demographic knows no bounds, it is popular with old and young alike.
Here's the brand new video for The Hello Man. Thanks to Daryl Ferarra, Gene Jacobs and their team and especially to Ronnie "The Hello Man" Giles. It was filmed in New York City on September 6th 2008
Mick says, “The Hello Man” was a homeless man in Hitchin, Herts in the UK. I lived there for 4 years when I was at Theater School studying drama. He used to wander the streets saying "hello" to everyone. He was harmless, but intimidating as he was so tall and obviously a little confused. There were all kinds of rumours that he went crazy after his family were killed in a car crash. Others say he was a soldier who was traumatized in the Korean War. I don't know why but I suddenly started thinking about him one day.
I guess every town has its Hello Man. It's easy to laugh and turn away. But as you get older you realise that behind every bum, tramp, whatever you want to call them is a human being who, for whatever reason, ended up losing their way.
I guess all of us are just one step away from being the Hello Man.
BUY THE HELLO MAN NOW ON iTUNES!!.

Number9 are Paul Fernandez and Mick Walsh. Paul is Spanish and Mick is often drunk. Together they write killer pop songs and would like to break into TV and movies. Failing that, they would like to break into people's houses.
Number 9 creates the music everyone is longing for, everyone is
sampling, but no one is writing. Taking the sounds of the sixties
and seventies and intertwining them with modern rock and grunge riffs,
they have begun to pave the road towards re-emergence of a quality and
memorable sound.
Paul grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey, stretching
his musical talent amongst the other young bands in the local scene,
before starting his own band. That band would be named Que Cera and
would help to mould his sound. The band toured up and down the east coast
before spreading out westward. They toured through the mid-west, and
survived on cd and merchandise sales. Paul would need to be on his own
writing what he wanted to.
After meeting Mick Paul knew it wouldn't be long, due to his talent and background that they would collaborate . Mick is a talented professional hailing all the
way from England. He has a strange accent that gay men and women tend to find quite sexy.
Recently, Paul has been spreading the word on radio
stations both college and national. Such stations include 89.5 Monmouth
Univ. and 101.5 NJ Tri State radio.
This creative team may well be considered a
rock-n-roll rebellion all on its own, a reminder to the establishment, and
teachers to the youth, that rock-n-roll will never die.
They both like dogs and ballroom dancing of which Paul is a national champion.
Mick, enjoys shouting at the tourists in Times Square and stalking nuns.
Peace out
