Formed in the dim and distant past, well 1995 to be exact, The Babel Fish are 4 blokes from Newcastle trying to make some music that we like but in the hope that others may enjoy it too. Drawing inspiration from the likes of U2, The Gin Blossoms, Stereophonics, Thin Lizzy and anything else remotely guitar based with nice harmonies of both the vocal and guitar variety. We also play a selection of original material (acoustic and electric).
The bottom line is that we have a laugh, make some noise and upset the neighbours. We occasionally have the audacity to play live too, in front of real people, some of whom we don't even know. They occasionally clap and even stay until the end – sometimes !!!
Joking aside, as a pub band, we're half decent so if you want some good honest live music with your pint, or ten, then why not come and see 'The Fish in action.
