The BackBone Beat means funky, exciting, upbeat and to the point. Influenced by a wide range of funk and rock, the BackBone Beat draws its inspiration from groove based simplicity, always trying to avoid overstating a point.
Kyle DeLuca on Guitar, Pat Kahn on Drums, and Victor Ess on Bass form a group with the means to cut out all the fat and play nitty-gritty-earthy funk. From over 4 years of playing music together, founding members Kyle DeLuca and Pat Kahn have a long history in music founded in rock, blues, soul, and jazz. With Victor Ess on bass, the funk was given life with danceable, funky, bone-shaking basslines and a new and well versed perspective on songwriting.
Since their debut, The Backbone Beat have been turning heads and moving feet everywhere they play, and this young group has plans to continue doing just that.
