In the summer of no rain 2006, the Baddies played a fantastic set at the BOMFEST (or so I believed and the rain did come). I went away a few weeks later, got on a plane (not my usual holiday transport, you can get to Skegness by land!) and headed for Spain. It was a traumatic family falling out holiday but at least I got to see my daughter swimming, dancing and thoroughly enjoying herself. I got back to England and was ready to play 6 dates previous planned with the newly confident BADDIES, even a Big BASH at Doncaster Airport (cheers Miffy for setting that one up). Something felt strange as it sometimes does in this game, I could not get hold of the drummer for love nor money, next thing I hear, he's left.
We spend 4 weeks drummer less, then another guy comes in, 3 weeks later he's deemed unsuitable and hits the road. A month later and we audition 3 drummers (including a young girl who's brilliant, but alas not the best). We agree on a new drummer (Gavin Wilkinson) and then the day before the next rehearsal the Bass Player rings me and says he's had enough, so he's gone. The main reason for his departure is the lead guitar player’s total lack of interest at rehearsals. So I ask him to leave and go form his own band, which is all he ever really wanted to do in the first place.
So here we are again, I always liked Mark E Smith (the lead singer of The Fall, the only original member out of 157 or so combinations of that band), but this is ridiculous. I have drafted my mate Alan from the X Rippers and Barmy Surplus, to cover on guitar till we find a LEAD GUITAR PLAYER or if the LEAD GUITAR PLAYER comes before the BASS PLAYER Al, will move onto BASS. It's really nice to have such talented friends. Many Thanks Al.
THE BADDIES ARE DEAD! thanks for all who sailed in her......

The year is 1987, and NASA launches the last of America's deep space probes. In a freak mishap, Ranger 3, and its pilot Captain William "Buck" Rogers, are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life support system and returns Buck Rogers to Earth 500 years later.

Hi there! It's Scott... no my dad isn't Tony Heald, but I do know Tony very well... I used to play at his folk night at The Blah Bar all that time ago. He also used to do supply work at the primary school that I teach at. All the best anyways! P.S. Come to our charity concert at The Academy Theatre in Birdwell... it's gonna be awesome!
