Matt-vocals--I've spent my whole life singing. Whether it was at home, in my car,
at church or in a band. I started to play guitar when I was 21...for me
it was a great way accompany myself while singing and writing songs.
Through the years I have sung in rock bands, and most recently before 4
Lane Hwy I was the singer for Shepard Express voted "Best Blues Band
in Milwaukee" Hounds Tooth. Country music has always been in my blood,
so singing in 4 Lane Hwy just feels right. My biggest influences have
been: Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks and more
recently Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Kieth Urban.
Pete-vocals--With six brothers and sisters, there was never a problem finding something to entertain ourselves. And music was usually at the top of everyone's list. I loved spending nights singing along with Johnny Cash and Elvis, the two biggest influences of my early years. After those hazy college days, I sang for a few years in the church choir. Then came my opportunity to hook up with an outstanding set of musicians, which has evolved into the band 4-Lane Hwy. These days , when I'm not beltin' out country music with the boys from the band, I spend my spare time driving my John Deere out to the pasture to feed the cows on my cattle ranch. "If that ain't country, I'll kiss yer ass."
Beau-lead guitar--I was 12 years old in 1987 when I started playing guitar. On an old cheap acoustic guitar I strummed and played jazz, classic rock, and (sigh) yes, Stairway to Heaven. It was not until I heard Stevie Ray Vaughn play his signature Pride and Joy that I found the passion to learn as much about guitar as I could about the guitar itself. By 18 years of age I was playing in bars and had the privilege to jam with the likes of Blues Legend Hubert Sumlin, and Albert Collins' 1st cousin Lee Gates, who nicknamed me Guitar Beau. In the early 90's, country music grabbed my attention by way of Garth Brooks' Thunder Rolls and Brooks and Dunn's Hard Working Man. Travis Tritt, however, is the reason I became a life long fan of country music while he and Brad Paisley remain as huge influences.
Jeff "B"-guitar, vocals--I picked up the guitar late compared to most others. I was 19 when I first picked up my sunburst Gibson look alike. It was so cheap I don't think they gave it a name. Moved on to my baby, a blue Ibanze Road Star. That poor thing has taken a beating, but keeps coming back for more. Played in many bands dating back to the early 80's. Cyclone, Pinch, Lost Boys , Local Fever, David Marshall Band and now 4 LANE HWY. Many friends and memories were made along the way, at least the ones I remember. Country music has never been my first choice but with a little persuasion from my good friend Al I gave it a try. From then on I have never looked back..I feel very honored to play with the quality of muscians in this band, but better yet, thankful to be called their friend.
Adam-bass,--I started playing and studying drums at the age of nine. I played in drum corps while in his teens and participated in tours of Canada and the Midwest. After knee surgery slowed down his marching "career" I began playing in Racine area rock bands, which was as challenging musically but a lot easier on his legs.Moving north for a summer to teach music at a campground, I started playing in the South East area of Wisconsin.
After taking a year or so off, I decided to include bass guitar in his musical abilities. I have since performed as either a drummer or bass player in the bands : Raidoactive,Rockin Robins,No Comment,The Unheard Of,Beaver McGee,Spank,Deluxe Mode,Echo Road,The David Marshall Band and Boney fingers. "I feel very fortunate to have played with the talented people I have met through the years. I am very excited about playing with "4 LANE HWY" I'm getting a chance to play with some very good friends both old and new.
Al-drums--I started playing drums with my families classic country band in 1967. I probably played more country than you have listened to. In the 80's I started up the rock band LOST BOYS, I was found. Then I formed LOCAL FEVER< with Mr. B in the 90's only to go back to my roots, country music. Country music has changed, but that's o.k. now we have the best of four styles, country ,blues, blue grass and rock. 4 LANE HWY!Lucy, vocals---
This our main man, he busts his butt behind the scenes making sure all is running smoothly for the band. Our road manager, MikeI got my Assocaties degree in video and audio production in 1986. I have been a video editor, camera operator and director for 100's of corporate training and marketing videos. I have traveled around the world with MasterCard honing my skills. I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
