we are a duo.
Yeah. Pre-production is extremely underrated. It should be so obvious. Just things like figuring out all the layers before you begin recording and all the vocal harmonies.
I've had bands come in before with dead strings on their guitars, as if it didn't even occur to them to spend $6 and change their strings before recording.
I have made it a point to take on more of a producers role with some bands, and coach them through the process of making an album. Sometimes just explaining the simplest of things.
hey Sean, Trust me, i would love to record analog all the time. But when recording other projects for efficiency reasons (and cost) I'm forced to go digital. Bands are so accustomed to punching in and doing dozens of takes of something to get it just perfect, or using digital correction to "enhance their performance".
can i make a request for the show tomorrow? i'd really love to hear a rendition of my favorite afnp song: "un, deux, trois, etc--sandra bullock has premonitions"
