"C3" plays intricate, interlocking Acoustic Guitar Pop.
C3 live shows feature gentle, textural, hummable songs arranged for multiple voices and interlocking acoustic guitars. The live set features an exceptional blend of musical influences including Robert Fripp and the League of Crafty Guitarists, Steve Reich, Kate Bush, Simon and Garfunkle, Jonatha Brooke, U2, Pete Townshend, David Byrne, Richard Thompson, the Cars, the Church, Yes, and Peter Gabriel.
C3 has been playing out in various configurations around the Seattle area since 1997, both acoustic and electric. All members of the C3 sing.
C3 performances often include elements of interlocking improvisation -- sometimes we play major songs in minor keys to keep the players and audience on ten toes.
Some quotes from our audience:
"Three guys who play the best acoustic sets you’re ever likely to hear. They interplay of hands and voices absolutely ripples whether it’s an old classic like 'The Boxer' or 'Free Falling' or one of their own compositions. Sit, have a drink, soak it in, and get taken to another planet where peace and possibility will sooth your cares away. You will thank yourself."
- Richard L.
"If I had to write a one sentence review, it would be this: 'C3 mesmerized and astounded the audience with their superb blend of sound, choice of songs and complete skill with their instruments'."
- Cy B.
"Take some of your favorite songs and infuse them with an incredible touch of jazz and synchronized harmonies. Open your mind and ears to a brainy presentation of many tunes you will know as well as numerous original tunes, a pleasant tease of mind and ears, a psychedelic roller coaster ride for the ears. "
-J and G L.
"Free Falling Buckminster Fuller Music or ‘the whole is greater than the sum of parts'."
- Lee B.
"C3 is a trio of acoustics, harmony, and fun – a blend well worth listening to."
