Bio:

The Scottish band Frontier were signed to the Mercury record label alongside such acts as: Texas, Robert Plant and Dire Straits. Frontier worked with many producers, engineers and musicians the list includes Gary Katz (Producer - Steely Dan), Iain Kewley (Keyboards/Producer - Paul Young), Steve Jackson (Sound Engineer - Bryan Adams), Tony Philips (Sound Engineer - Seal), Dave Bascombe (Producer - Tears For Fears), Kenny Macdonald (Sound Engineer - Texas), Adam Mosely (Sound Engineer - Rush), Wix (Keyboards - Paul McCartney), Tony Beard (Drums - Hall and Oates)

Studio Recording's took place at Rockfield studio's, Wales (birthplace of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody), Jimmy Page's old studio - The Mill, Jacobs Studios, George Martin's - Air Studio, London, Peter Gabriel's Realworld Studios, Bath, Parklane Studio's Glasgow.

Frontier released 2 singles: 'Lonely Heart' & Graham Parkers 'The Sun is Gonna Shine'. Tours included 'Wet Wet Wet' - Stadium Support Tour 1992 with venues including Wembley Arena, Birmingham NEC, Sheffield Arena and Manchester and the band 'Gun' - support tour 1992 with venues including The Astoria, London.

Frontier vocalist John Higgins is now known as John Harley Weston and lives in Australia. He won the prestigious Australian National Songwriting Contest 2005 with the bursting uptempo summer roots rock anthem 'Last Days Of Summer' off his album 'Hope Harbour'. He's had Honourable Mentions from Billboard World Songwriting Contest 2006 and been voted in the top 5 best singers in the world by a major US heavy-weight music publisher. BJ continues to pass on his hard earned music skills to his guitar students in Ayrshire and has also released a collection of successful solo material details of which can be found on his website: "cunninghamsongs.com"

Bud Greenwood is also presently producing new solo material, which can be previewed at "Bud Greenwood Music"

John and BJ have been working on a new song together. 'Be Careful What You Wish For' was written in 2006 and has received a Highest Level Honourable Mention in the 14th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest - 2007. Brand new Frontier music. Amazing - an independent band making music right now with one member in Australia and the other in Scotland. This single also includes 2 bonus tracks - one of John Harley Weston's solo songs and one of BJ Cunninghams solo songs. CD is available at lulu.com.
