KUSH is a group of talented musicians united by a shared love of creating and performing music that is both compelling and accessible. This love of music has produced a collection of instantly appealing guitar licks, pop hooks and driving dance rhythms that have been attracting fans to bars and local venues across Atlanta, GA since 1998. This trio’s songs range in personality from Rock/Pop to Funk to Reggae and back around to Alternative/Indie. With their broad appeal and obvious talent KUSH never fails to put on one hell of a show!
As lead singer and drummer, Jason Jensen is a soulful vocalist who is deftly capable of capturing the audience and at the same time laying down the beats that form the foundation of the KUSH groove. On harmony vocals and lead guitar, Jim Nordblom lends his talent as the band’s distinct director of guitar riffs and scorching solos, as well as providing complex and subtle texture to the lyrics and melodies. Veteran bass player Dave Hill adds true backbone to the rhythm section, and the interplay between his bass tracks and the drumbeat lies at the heart of KUSH’s sound.
With an already solid foundation KUSH is building a successful career in today’s music world while nurturing their loyal and constantly growing fan base. Over the next year they are aggressively looking to get their music out to the masses and begin spreading their talent to the kick-ass-party-lovin’ rocker in all of us!
